Didier Leconte

  • Didier Leconte joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ late 2012 as Investment Director for the Life Sciences sector. Over his career, Didier Leconte has been working in the innovation sector in various environments in both Europe and North America. Didier Leconte started his career in 1990 in France in the energy sector at GDF Suez Research Division, and moved to North America where he held different management positions in one of the largest private R&D center dedicated to natural gas. Since 2004, Didier Leconte led several initiatives related to the commercialization of discoveries stemming from publicly funded research in Québec, including managing MSBi Valorisation from 2009 to 2012, a pre-seed investment group particularly focused on life sciences and working with McGill University, Université de Sherbrooke and Bishop’s University. His latest initiative in 2012 was to build stronger technology transfer groups by merging MSBi Valorisation with similar organizations. Didier Leconte holds a diploma in materials engineering from Université Paris XIII and a MBA from Université du Québec à Montréal.
