Steve Kyryk

  • Steve joined Hobbs & Towne, Inc. in 2006 to support the growth of its technology and energy practices. He has more than 17 years of recruiting experience for a wide variety of organizations, ranging from private to publicly traded technology and Fortune 500 organizations.

    Technically savvy, Steve has a diverse assignment history in next generation energy, advanced sciences, and advanced IT related ventures. He has successfully placed CEOs, Board Directors, Senior Technology Executives and their teams within all functional disciplines for a range of clients, including renewable fuels and chemicals, advanced lighting and sensors, next generation power generation, and industrial biotechnology organizations.
    Additionally, Steve has worked with some of the world’s leading investors, including Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, First Reserve, Virgin Green Fund, CMEA Ventures, Flagship Ventures, and Kirchner Capital.

    Steve is a co-founder of the Renewable Energy Business Network (REBN) Mid-Atlantic Chapter and Cleantech Alliance Mid-Atlantic (CAMA) for connecting, supporting, and growing clean and alternative energy technology business opportunities in the mid-Atlantic region. Throughout his career, he has served as a guest speaker at industry conferences and events.

    Prior to joining Hobbs & Towne, Steve developed and grew the Web Services and Enterprise Integration practice for MAGIC Consulting in its Philadelphia office, where he managed such clients as Juniper Networks, Vitria, Systinet, JBoss, and Chordiant Software. Prior to that, he worked at a leading Pacific Northwest boutique search firm, where he conducted search projects for companies headquartered in the Pacific Northwest. Along with delivering top talent for Seattle-based companies, he led the development and expansion of national client relationships with companies such as Microsoft, Rational Software, Nortel/Architel, GTE, Plumtree, Quintessent, and Nightfire.

    A Biology graduate from Fredonia State, Steve now lives in Collegeville, PA, with his wife Mary. He maintains an active lifestyle and enjoys biking, playing basketball and reading.
