Capital Innovation, the largest gathering of angels, venture capital managers and innovative entrepreneurs in Quebec, is proud to team up with the Network of Angel Organizations – Ontario (NAO-O) to host the first Quebec-Ontario Angel Forum, the Toronto Venture Forum (TVF) at the Trump International Tower & Hotel, in Toronto, on February 28th, 2012.
This event is the perfect opportunity to meet your peers in the Canadian investment community in order to foster the relationships and co-investments between the two provinces.
For this occasion, NAO-Ontario, with the support of the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario) is teaming with Capital Innovation, the largest gathering of angels, venture capital managers and innovative entrepreneurs in Quebec, with the support of the Québec Ministry of Economic Development, to host this event at the Trump International Hotel & Tower, Toronto on February 28th, 2012.
Capital Innovation’s network gathers and enhances business relationships with over 100 Angels and Venture Capital investors from Ontario, Quebec and New England. NAO-Ontario, a member of the Ontario Network of Excellence, creates and grows non-profit Angel investor groups for all the regions of Ontario. On February 28th, these communities will come together in Toronto to network and learn from leading Angel groups and early-stage VCs in North-eastern America.
On behalf of our partners and advisors such as the NACO, Teralys Capital, Maple Leaf Angels, International Corporate Expansion (ICE), Burns & Levinson, ÉTS and the Quebec Government, we are pleased to welcome you to our invitation-only Investors’ gathering, from 9:30 a.m. on February 28th, 2012!
The gathering will begin with presentations of Quebec and Ontario innovation ecosystems followed by a business luncheon. The afternoon will consist of a keynote speech, followed by a panel of Angels with high profile guests who will debate on Angel trends and co-investment best practices in North America. Lastly, guests will be invited to a networking cocktail reception where they will have the opportunity to meet with approximately 100 fellow Angel investors, representatives from early stage venture capital funds and accelerators, and other prominent figures of the Quebec and Ontario investment communities. Our goal is to foster collaborations and common investment opportunities for Quebec and Ontario Angels and early-stage VC investors. Among our special guests, we are honored to introduce the initial members of the Ontario Investors Committee: Matey Nedkov and several members of NAO-Ontario as well as Samuel Shafner, representing our New England Committee, with Quebec investors such as Jacques Bernier from Teralys.
